STEWED APPLE
/A great breakfast option!
INGREDIENTS
1 sweet apple (ie. Golden Delicious, Honey Crisp, Gala, etc.) (optional: you can use a pear)
1/8-1/4 tsp of cardamom powder
1/8-1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1/8-1/4 tsp of ginger powder (optional)
1 tsp of ghee
2 tbs of crushed pecans (can use almonds or other nuts)
1/8 cup of water
PREPARATION
Peel the apple and then cut it into small cubes
Place the cut pieces of apple in a small saucepan, adding the water, ghee, pecans, and spices, mixing thoroughly.
Cover and simmer for around 10 minutes, on a medium-low flame, stirring on occasion.
The apples should end up in a softened consistency.
Turn the heat off and let it sit 2-3 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
