Getting Started & Care Plans

Who is Still Point Ayurveda for?

Still Point Ayurveda is for individuals seeking a personalized approach to health through the classical principles of Ayurveda.

This practice may be a good fit if you are interested in understanding patterns influencing your health, making gradual lifestyle changes, and participating actively in your care process through an ongoing therapeutic relationship.

Do you work with all ages?

Still Point Ayurveda welcomes individuals of all ages.

Care is adapted according to each person’s stage of life, health needs, and individual circumstances. Recommendations for children, adults, and older adults are approached with appropriate consideration for age, lifestyle, and overall health.

How does the intake process work?

Online self-scheduling is not currently available. Appointments are scheduled directly with Dr. Antonio through email or phone communication.

Before scheduling, please review the information provided on the website, including the Start Here page and practice guidelines.

Once your initial consultation is scheduled and the required deposit is received, you will receive intake materials and additional instructions by email.

Which care plan should I choose?

Most patients begin with Package A because it provides the most consistent structure and support during the initial phase of care.

Additional options are available depending on your schedule, financial considerations, and level of support needed. The most appropriate direction will be discussed during your initial consultation.

Are supplements included in the package cost?

Supplements and herbal preparations are billed separately.

Recommendations are individualized based on your assessment, needs, and budget. Options and estimated costs are discussed when recommendations are provided.

Do you offer general or one-time consultations?

Still Point Ayurveda does not offer general informational consultations.

The initial consultation begins an individualized care process where recommendations are developed, implemented, and adjusted over time.

Care Plans & Package Policies

What am I paying for during my appointment?

Appointments at Still Point Ayurveda are reserved exclusively for each individual client. Your appointment fee covers the professional time, experience, training, assessment, education, individualized recommendations, treatment planning, and services provided during your scheduled session.

Depending on the type of appointment, services may include Ayurvedic consultation, health assessment, lifestyle and dietary guidance, individualized recommendations, follow-up care, massage, Ayurvedic body therapies, and other wellness services discussed during your visit.

Each person’s response to Ayurvedic care and wellness services is unique. While Still Point Ayurveda is committed to providing thoughtful, individualized care, specific outcomes or results cannot be guaranteed.

Fees are based on the professional services provided during your appointment and are not dependent upon achieving a particular result.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Payments may be made by cash, check, credit card, HSA/FSA (when applicable), Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or Cash App.

When is payment due?

Payment for services is due within 24 hours unless another arrangement has been made in advance.

If financial circumstances create difficulty, please communicate proactively so an appropriate arrangement can be discussed.

What is the cancellation policy?

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve an initial consultation.

Established patients are asked to provide at least 48 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling appointments. Late cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee.

If you are experiencing fever, COVID-19, significant illness, or a medical emergency, please communicate with Dr. Antonio. Fees may be waived in these circumstances.

Are packages or supplements refundable?

Care packages and gift certificates are non-refundable after purchase and must be used within their stated timeframe.

Supplement purchases are final once received due to the individualized nature of herbal recommendations.

Are discounts available?

Still Point Ayurveda currently offers discounted rates for children’s services only.

Student, senior, and general service discounts are not currently available.

Appointments & Clinical Care

How early should I arrive?

Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time.

Because sessions are often scheduled back-to-back, arriving significantly early may interrupt another patient’s care.

What happens if I arrive late?

Please communicate if you are delayed.

Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may require shortening the session so the schedule of other patients can be respected.

What if I have not started my recommendations or my supplements have not arrived?

Please continue with your scheduled appointment whenever possible.

Follow-up visits provide an opportunity to discuss challenges, adjust recommendations, and better understand your response to care.

What happens during follow-up visits?

Follow-up sessions include reviewing progress, discussing recommendations, and providing appropriate therapeutic support.

Some visits may focus more on assessment and discussion, while others may include hands-on therapies depending on your individual care plan.

Do you offer Panchakarma?

Ayurveda includes both supportive approaches (Shamana) and purificatory approaches (Shodhana).

Panchakarma is a specialized Ayurvedic process requiring appropriate preparation, timing, and supervision. When appropriate, Dr. Antonio will discuss whether this direction of care is suitable. Referrals may be provided for individuals seeking full classical Panchakarma programs.

Can I receive massage or bodywork without starting Ayurvedic care?

Still Point Ayurveda offers select standalone therapeutic services, including massage and bodywork treatments.

Standalone sessions focus on the therapy being provided and do not include a full Ayurvedic assessment or ongoing health protocol unless scheduled as part of Ayurvedic care.

How long does Ayurvedic care take?

Ayurvedic care is generally a gradual process.

The timeline depends on many factors, including the nature and duration of concerns, consistency with recommendations, lifestyle factors, and individual response.

What health concerns can Ayurveda support?

Ayurveda takes an individualized approach that considers the whole person rather than focusing only on a diagnosis.

Care may support individuals seeking guidance with digestion, sleep, stress, lifestyle patterns, energy, and maintaining overall health.

Communication & Education

Can I text or email clinical questions?

Prospective patients are welcome to contact the practice with brief scheduling or service-related questions.

For established patients, questions regarding individualized recommendations, herbal protocols, treatment adjustments, or changes in health status are addressed during scheduled follow-up appointments, where there is adequate time for proper assessment, discussion, and individualized clinical decision-making.

Email and text messaging are intended for scheduling, administrative matters, and brief non-clinical communication rather than ongoing clinical consultation.

If an unexpected concern or possible adverse reaction develops during your care, please contact the office so appropriate guidance can be provided.

How are labs, records, and journal assignments reviewed?

Please submit relevant documents before your appointment whenever possible.

Health logs and journal assignments provide valuable information about patterns that may influence your care.

Does Dr. Antonio determine my “Dosha type”?

Classical Ayurveda uses a comprehensive clinical assessment rather than reducing an individual to a simplified “dosha type.”

Traditional assessment considers many factors, including constitution, digestion, tissues, habits, environment, and current presentation.
