ABOUT ANTONIO

Antonio Aragona, AD, LMT, is a classically trained Ayurvedic physician and licensed massage therapist based in Philadelphia, PA. He practices traditional Ayurveda through a lineage-based system of training grounded in classical Ayurvedic principles, clinical application, and over two decades of integrative healthcare experience.

His work focuses on individualized Ayurvedic care that addresses the whole person—body, mind, and lived experience. He supports individuals navigating chronic imbalance, stress-related conditions, digestive concerns, fatigue, and the long-term effects of physical and emotional strain.

CLASSICAL AYURVEDIC TRAINING & LINEAGE

Antonio is trained in traditional Ayurvedic medicine through multiple respected institutions, including the American Institute of Vedic Studies, the Ayurvedic Institute, Kerala Ayurveda Academy, and the California College of Ayurveda. He holds a Master’s degree in Ayurveda from the Hindu University of America.

His classical Ayurvedic training continues through the Arogya Center and Samudra Gurukula, where he engages in lineage-based study and clinical application of Shuddha (traditional) Ayurveda. This approach emphasizes direct transmission of classical diagnostic and therapeutic principles within an authentic Ayurvedic framework.

Antonio’s practice is grounded in Ayurveda as a complete traditional system of medicine. While distinct from Western biomedical models, his work remains respectful and complementary to Western medical care when appropriate.

He is recognized as an Ayurvedic Doctor (AD) and Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist (AYT) through the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA), the leading professional organization establishing Ayurvedic education and clinical standards in the United States.

In addition, Antonio is a licensed massage therapist with professional experience in social services and healthcare-adjacent fields, including HIV/AIDS education, counseling, and community-based care.

CLINICAL FOCUS

Antonio works with individuals experiencing chronic and complex patterns of imbalance, including stress-related conditions, digestive disorders, fatigue, and the long-term effects of emotional and physical overwhelm.

His care is especially supportive for those seeking a grounded, individualized approach that integrates dietary guidance, lifestyle support, herbal recommendations, therapeutic bodywork, and traditional Ayurvedic Panchakarma support when appropriate.

He sees clients of all ages and backgrounds in his private practice in Philadelphia.

APPROACH TO CARE

Each consultation begins with a comprehensive Ayurvedic intake designed to understand constitution, current imbalances, and contributing lifestyle factors.

Care plans may include dietary and lifestyle recommendations, herbal support, therapeutic bodywork, and Panchakarma-based therapies when indicated. The focus is on practical, sustainable changes that support long-term balance and improved well-being.

Antonio’s approach is integrative and collaborative, and he works respectfully alongside Western medical providers when clients are also under medical care.

NOTE ON EXPERIENCE

Antonio’s work is informed by both formal clinical training and lived experience, which contributes to a grounded and compassionate approach to care. Many individuals find it meaningful to work with a practitioner who understands the process of healing and transformation from both personal and clinical perspectives.
